It is with great sadness that Edith Hahn Beer passed away on March 17th 2009 very peacefully in her sleep.
Her daughter Angela Schluter was a member of the Piccadilly Waterstones reading group that I ran. As I got to know Angela I learned about her mother Edith and her life written in her memoir The Nazi Officer's Wife.
Our deepest condolences go to Angela and her family.
