Josie, Nicolette and Aviva are three very different girls who all meet the same bad boy with an irresistible knack for getting into their blood and under their skin. Each is sure that she can keep a cool head about him, but how much are they really in control? A critical and word-of-mouth success in the US, this is a compulsive read that opens up the questions about love and sex that every girl needs to know.
Review
This is an unusual book but a great book for teenagers to read. A simple book that teaches all young girls how not to accept that the boy they think is the one for them; is not what he may seem to be.He might just be trying to use them.
The story is all told in verse and switches between the girls and also how they feel when they are being taken out by this one boy, and what happens to them when they are dumped. Who would think to write about the trials of being a teenage girl with all the adolesant cravings that happen to all young teenagers, and the peer pressure from others around them.
I love the way the book is written by Tanya Lee Stone and I wish there had been a book like this when my teenagers were growing up and perhaps some of the heartaches would not have happened. Perhaps I could suggest that the parents give it to their adolesent daughters, and perhaps save some, the agony that daughters have to go through.
