Yes yet another pack of twelve stories on  audio CD.  Three stories that I have not seen before - one was Horrid Henry and the Mega Time Machine and the way he as usual tricks his brother and all the others around him.

Another of the new ones is Horrid Henry and the Football Fiend, this had me laughing at the chaos that Henry causes in and on and around the football pitch, what will Francessca Simon think up in her next series of Horrid Henry stories!

I really enjoyed listening to this story read by David Rintoul, his voice was spectacular in doing both male and female charecters.

The story was not as I had first thought about William Wilberforce but of another Willberforce a rich young work obsessed wine addict.  The story had you swinging back and forth over the years of his adult life, and how he came to love wine, and also how he was first introduced to the merits of many wines.

On this Orion CD there are eight stories which are beautifully written  by Georgie Adams and read by Adjoa Andoh who seems to have wonderful voices for each of the characters.

All little girls want to be  a princess, and these stories let them act out the stories which make it really fun, so that they can pretend to be the little princessess.   My little grandaughter Caitlin is very much into playing at being a princess, all her bedroom is done out with the fabric and the duvet cover and pillow.  She also loves to dress up and listen to this disc and tell you the stories.

Tyler's Row had me laughing and crying at the residents of Tyler's Row, with the old war hero and the old biddy at the other end scrapping over the two fences between their properties. Mr & Mrs Hales own the middle part and that's where we are introduced to the story, and meet again the teachers and the pupils of the village school.

A wonderful story about the head teacher of the village school with this being another of the great Miss Read books and audio books.

I listened to the story on audio cd while driving the other day to my university tutorial and found myself drawn into the story of the village head mistress and the time she spends with one of her best friends. It was great to be able to relax and listen and enjoy this audio book because of the way Carole Boyd read it.  I found this to be a great way to use the time in a traffic jam, in fact it is a great way to while away any journey on your own!

Sally Gardner has done it again, a fabulous story set in the French Revolution.  The story is amazing and I have read it from cover to cover with only a short break for sleep and food.

This book should be put on to audio disc because I think the story lends itself to being read or serialised on the radio or Televison.  There is so much colour and magic within the story which could be well reproduced on all sorts of other media. 

This pack of discs has a wonderful but some awesomely naughty stories - Horrid Henry and the Mummies Curse., Horrid Henry's Revenge and Horrid Henry and the Bogey Babysitter!

What a triple monster treat of stories how does Francesca think these wonderful stories up and how does Miranda Richardson remember how she has read the voices on previous discs

These stories just leave you wanting to laugh over and over again at Henry's antics with all his madcap friends. 

Yet another bunch of Horrid Henry's Stories. Three hour long discs with four stories on each, brilliant for those on long journeys.

Disc one has stories are Horrid Henry Reads a book, Horrid Henry's Stinkbomb, Horrid Henry's School Project  and last but not least Horrid Henry's Sleepover.

Disc two has stories Horrid Henry Eats a Vegetable, Horrid Henry's Underpants, Horrid Henry's Sick Day and Horrid Henry's Thank you Letter.

Disc Three Has Horrid Henry's Chores, Moody Margaret casts a Spell,horrid Henry's Bathtime, and Horrid Henry Meets the Queen. 

Michelle Paver is an extraordinary writer who is able to convey so much in her writings that make us believe and care about her characters Torak and Renn.

Torak is cast out from his adopted tribe and slowly going mad. Both wolf and Renn desperately want to help but he pushes them away as he sinks ever deeper into the battle within him.

Sir Ian McKellen gives an incredibly atmospheric rendition of Michelle Paver's book Outcast, but what is so fantastic is that you can go from book to audio cd and back without missing a beat.

It is interesting how we can have a picture in our minds of scenes in the book and then change them when we hear such an excellent rendition of the words.

I highly recommend this audio book for children and adults.
