I have to say that I got quite confused between the A and B chapters and the author as one of the characters. The writing can at times be quite surreal and slow, but if you can make it to the end I think you'll agree that the journey was worth it - even if some of the characters do seem a bit melancholy including some mother hating poetry! Very odd but there is a wonderful tour around Istanbul to make up for all the confusion!
