The two main characters in this book are young boys always trying to get someone into trouble, especially Mr. Grimble the bus driver! Oli and Skipjack start by suggesting that he is the local cat burgler who is taunting the town where they live, and that is the start of their plan and the trouble they get up to their necks in!

These two boys are so crazy that they think they can liberate all the gnomes in the town and set them free! But they don't understand what they have got themselves into and so starts the fun and the scrapes that typical young boys loved to get up to.

If you can't sleep, and you've too much on your mind, pick up a children's book - read it- have a chuckle - and then give it to the gran-kids!

Portable Ghosts is just so hilarious that I was both curious and yet in fits of laughter from page one!  Fancy finding a a Ghost in your local school library and then a friend having one in their bedroom.  What could be more fun than that?   Well our two main characters had just that, Ditta and her friend Max.

This book is a real heartbreaking story of two young girls aged  10 and 5 sold into slavery in America after both theri parents die.

Well this book really speaks to, especially if you do read lots of books, or belong to a book club.  I found the book amusing and yet so true of many people, who talk about books when all they have read is a write up in a magazine or heard the book spoken about on radio!

What an extraordinary story, told by a father about his son Walker. This family are truly the most loving and caring group of people who coped against all odds with there son Walker. This child was no trouble until he reach three years of age and only after their second son was born did they realise that there was something really different about Walker and consulted a paediatric neurologist.

This book is a real eye opener into what can happen when the right diagnosis, ignorance and miss-understanding come about because no-one is prepared to listen and help a child with Aspergers Syndrome and many other types of disorder in his life.

There is no way to describe the loss of a daughter as Gloria says in her book - Always with You - and she is so right.  No adult should have to bury their child, but for many it does happen through illness or accident or some other problem.   

A Children's book of poetry though I'm sure the adults will like it as well.    This anthology of poetry has two sections the first section is a collection of Jamaican speak type poems and the second half revolves round her poem 'Hot Like Fire'  which is also the title of the book.

''So You Don't Want to go to Church Anymore" what an unusual title! Well it made me want to read the book and see what ideas they might have within the covers to make you want to go back.

Camilla Noli has written a wonderful thought provoking book concerning a mother of  young children.
