Caroline Lawrence

Caroline Lawrence has a wonderful way of bringing to our attention the life and times of AD 80, through the story of The Slave Girl of Jerusalem, who Flavia and her fellow teenage detectives try to help. I was fascinated in the machinations of the Roman legal system of the time and didn't want the story to stop at the end of the 3rd disc. Actor Nigel Anthony is excellent in his portrayal of all the different voices, especially the young teenage girls.

Highly recommended for all ages.

It is May AD 81 and this tale is just a wonderful story of four young people who were growing up in the area. We find out a great deal about what happens in the area around the Great Tombs, up from the coast of the port of  Alexandria.

I found this story very fast flowing and exciting for youngsters to listen too.
